Bing Mobile Advertising
Mobile Search Ads
In its effort to expand into the mobile advertising market, Microsoft adCenter offers U.S. advertisers the ability to launch Mobile Search Ads campaigns. These consist of short, text-based ads delivered by Microsoft adCenter that let searchers click on the ad’s landing page and/or click to call the business directly from their mobile devices.
Why Invest in Mobile Search Ads?
Mobile Search Ads reach more customers. In spring 2009, Microsoft adCenter launched a deal to provide Bing and mobile advertising on Verizon Wireless devices, giving our advertisers exclusive access to millions of mobile subscribers.
What Is a Mobile Search Ad?
Microsoft adCenter Mobile Search Ads makes it easier than ever for people to get the information they care about—any time, any place. Mobile Search Ads are short, text-based ads delivered by Microsoft adCenter that let searchers click on the ad’s landing page and/or click to call the business directly from their mobile device. Users can also get directions, traffic, weather and movie information right from their cell phone or PDA web browser. Mobile Search Ads help on-the-go consumers stay informed and connected.
Microsoft mobile search advertising gives advertisers the opportunity to reach and influence consumers at the point of their decisions. For premium advertisers, the search partnership with Bing and Yahoo! provides a competitive choice to reach an extensive audience of millions of mobile searchers each month, all through a unified search marketplace. And for self-serve advertisers, the partnership and unified marketplace provides a time-saving and cost efficient way to connect to this large audience.
Advanced targeting and high-performing ad experiences are driving consumers to brands through mobile search. Options like Keyword Text Link, Advanced Smartphone Targeting, Click-to-Call and Time of Day and Day of Week targeting are putting the right ads in front of the right consumers. This is key as mobile searchers are looking to take action. Over 90% of mobile consumers use mobile search and nearly 30% of all mobile search queries are with local intent, compared to just 16% for the PC. Through both click-to-call and click-to-web offerings, Bing for mobile helps advertisers reach consumers and drive conversions with their brands. With the Bing for mobile relevancy engine, advertisers can reach consumers looking for their brands with efficiency across m.Bing.com and Bing in-app on Windows Phone 7, iPhone and Android.
